Strawberry Corals- Any luck?

Anyone been able to keep theese beautiful bright red/ orange/ purple non photosynthetic corals alive and thriving over time?
I tried, and I feed my tank alot, and no luck

Not many are able to do so. According to your other posts, you prefer to keep a wide range of hard to keep and hard to feed livestock. Any reason? What do you feed your tank?

mysis, cultured phytoplankton, zooplankton, prime reef, and brine
well, your right, i work at a saltwater store, and unfortunetly i fall in love with the nicest things i see. I have tried all kinds of things just to see my luck and to have personal experience to share with customers.

I hate to say this, but it drives me nuts when people get on others for trying to keep "hard to keep" corals. Yeah, there are some idiots out there that just shouldn't be....But, if it wasn't for people trying, then we would never be able to keep these species in our tanks. Xenia was one of the "impossible to keep" species just less than 10 years ago. Now we have a hard time stopping it from spreading and give it away.

And it drives me nuts when people want to keep "hard to keep" animals in unsuitable environments. Would you keep a tang in a 10 gallon tank? Then why on earth would you keep a non-photosynthetic specialized feeder in a mixed reef. Provide your animals with the best environment possible to actually give them a chance.

hes right, im always considerate of my corals and fish, and ive kept strawberry corals alive and happy for a few months, but I am beginning to believe its just an animal that wont last in aquariums, thats why im asking everyone else!

If your only keeping it for a few months, your not keeping it happy, your keeping it starving to death. I would applaud you asking for advice, but that is something you should have done before you got or at least killed the corals.
