stream on the bottom of the tank

I have a bare bottom 4x2x2 with a tunze wavebox. I am interested in 2 6100's but I want to put one 6100 practically sitting on the bottom of the tank. i don't want any detritus build up down there, and i currently have a lot under my live rock setup. does anyone do that? or should i mount it high and point it directly down? thoughts? thanks.

i recently moved a 6100 in a deco rock to the bottom of a bb tank, and it sucked up every bit of detritus within a foot in every direction, and the flow is now very low in the tank. you can also set a tunze on a magnet low in the tank. i don't know if its possible to aim a tunze down. the new nanostreams can, but not a 6100, afaik

I have my 6200 mounted 3-4" below the surface and it pick up every piece of detritus from the sand. Tunze has a wide range flow, its sweep throughout your tank. I don't think you need to mount it on the bottom to remove fish waste especially with the magnet the pump is poining downward.
