Stream Question

Hi Roger,

I have a 60 gal cube (24x24x24) and I am considering on upgrading from the Seio 820 and 400 gph powerhead that I have been using. I am looking at the stream 6000 with a single controller and photo sensor. On the Tunze site it states that the 6000ââ"šÂ¬Ã¢"žÂ¢s range is between 660 and 1849 gph. Would it harm the pump if I run it at the minimum at night and only around 1000gph during the day? Iââ"šÂ¬Ã¢"žÂ¢m not sure if I would only run at a 1000 during the day but I doubt it would be above 1200.

It won't harm the pump but it may not be possible to do as you intend. During the day the pump will pulse between two settings you control at an interval from 1-7 seconds. At night it will go to whatever this second setting is and stay their. Unless you set a pulse from the minimum to about 1000gph it won't be possible. Also, I believe the minimum is wrong, that is the theroritcal minimum but I think in real life the minimum is more like 750gph.

Ok I see how the it works.
Still sounds good sonsidering I leave the SIEO and the power head on all the time.

Thanks!
