I have a 6100 with a single controller that I purchased in Feb. 2005 that will not start. The black round disc was very warm and there is no lights on the controler.I was wondering is there a fuse that may need to be replaced or any way to testing for power?
It sounds like the driver is flawed, we changed the design receently because the old design could be missassembled too easily and overheat as a result. Just send it in and as soon as it arrives I will repair it.
I generally need the motor too. It can happen that a chain reaction also destroys the motor. Do you have another pump that you can confirm your motor works.
Sorry for that, if I have the pump and driver I can be sure of my repair. I have had it happen where I send a new driver only to have a bad pump ruin the new one too.
Roger,
Sorry I been slammed at work and just shipped the driver, motor, and controller. Has Tunze stop making the photo cell?I couldn't find it on Marine Depot web site.Do you think my moonlight will be to bright so that it would not work?
You would have to find a position where the LED array would not affect the photocell. I am out of them, Premium, Champion and Marine Depot all stock this product.
