Stream rock question

Hi, I was thinking about possibly getting one of the rocks to hide the stream that I am getting tomorrow (FINALLY!!!!! :) ). I have heard that they are pretty big and bulky so I am sort of worried about it looking out of place in my tank.

Could you take a look at my aquascaping and see if you see a good place for it?

Thanks

You will probably need to rearrange your rock slightly. It will need to go in the right corner at the top of the structure. They measure about 10 by 10 by 6.

Well I finally got my stream, it was definately worth the wait!

However, would anyone else get nervous looking at this after they just spent $300 on a powerhead?

It cleaned the tank up some to boot, now I just have to figure out a way to keep it in place, right now the magnet is keeping it from moving.

Why do you have it installed like that? You could place it flat on one side and swivel the pump on the pivot.

It is installed on the pivot on the back side of the tank. However, where I have it rotated as far as it will rotate it is pushing itself towards the side of the tank and causing it to blow too much towards the bottom. With my mag cleaner there it keeps it level. Unfortunately, the way I have my light mounted I can't mount the tunze on the side of the tank.

I wasn't complaining about anything. Once I change my lighting it will be perfect. It works fine the way it is now though, just want to have it mounted correctly eventually.

Will the suction cup not stabilize it? I didn't take it as a complaint- just want to help.

hey roger

is the stream suppose to come with a suction cup to stabilize the bottom?

my osmolator had one and i thought it was weird that there wasnt one with the stream. i was actually thinking about contacting you to see if i could buy one.

thanks for any info

The suction cups shouldn't come with either unit. They come in the accesory set 3000.244 for Oceanic or All Glass large framed tanks.

ahh that would explain it.

i had to use the extension kit for the osmolator in my sump. thanks for the info.

No, the suction cup doesn't stabalize it quite enough, I think it is because I have it swiveled as much as possible though.

While we're talking about suction cups though I'm glad I had the one that I bought for my osmolator otherwise I would be in trouble. While I was trying to adjust the mount the suction cup managed to come off of the tank wall falling into the great unknown, somewhere behind all of my rock. I wasn't about to start looking for it. I figured that the osmolator could do without the suction cup a lot better than the stream could.
