stream sizing recommendations

What would the sizing recomendations be for 6.5' X 4' tank (2' tall) ? Here is a general layout for our tank. The Vs symbols indicate where we currently have powerheads that we are planning to replace with Streams. The two R symbols are our returns from the sump.

So a couple of questions would be :

1. What is the average distance that a 610X Stream (6100 or 6101) would reach ? (tank length)
2. What is the average distance that a 620X Stream would reach ?
3. What is the average distance that a 610X Stream w/ a 6201 shroud on it would reach ?
4. What is the average distance that a 620X Stream w/ a 6301 shroud on it would reach ?

Our tank is mainly SPS, but we do have some zoas and LPS, mostly on the bottom/front of the tank. We have an AquaSurf control module attached to our AquaController to control the Streams.

Any suggestions on which size pumps to use ? and which shrouds to employ ?

Thanks :)

1) 7ft
2) 7ft- the flow is just wider
3) 5ft
4) 7ft- the shroud has the same outlet diameter it just has larger inlet openings to accomodate the greater flow of the bigger prop.

I would use 4 6201's.

Thank you so much for your replies. That is exactly the no-nonsense technical data that I was looking for. You also ratified our intent to go with 4 620X pumps. Matt has 2 used 6200s that we are going to try out and if we like them (IE: They are quieter than the VTs, provide aequate flow and don't majorly interfere with our livestock) then we will pick up a pair of 6201s to go along with the 6200s. That way we aren't putting so much $$ down on what currently amounts to an "experiment".

On that note, since noise is the main reason for investigating changing to Tunze, I read in another thread about worn bearing/bushings causing more noise than normal for the Streams. How would I go about acquiring a pair of replacements for these used 6200s to ensure that we are comparing noise levels on new versus new (we just replaced all of our bearings and drive shafts and rebuilt our VT wet ends back in December).

Thanks again for your fast and thorough response.

You would have to try them and see, the best would be new 6200.70 drive units. I just don't have enough experience to know what the competitors products offer, I see them at trade shows and the we buy samples but I tend to look more at the technical and less at issues like noise so I just wouldn't know how we compare.
