Streams, do they need to be washed before using?

Finally i'm going to pick my stream 6000 and single controler tomorrow.

Can i put it directly on my tank or do i need to clean it before?

They contain a small amount of glycerin to prevent binding and lubricate the parts on start up. This is absolutely harmless and does not need to be washed.
