is it reef safe?

please hurry i got to go, will be gone all night. i want to put some in my tank before i go to be safe.
 
i just switched to ro a few weeks ago. just want to make sure you know!

and i wanna get tank ready for tang.

i speak caveman cuz i need to leave fast. thanks
 
No need to, there are more chances of something go wrong if you do thatn if you don't. If you are using a skimmer froget it!
 
A skimmer will go nuts with it. I could see wanting the slime coat property of it if you have some fish that are knicked up or nipping at each other though. Just turn the skimmer off for a bit and be there to watch for the afternoon/eve when you turn it back on.
 
I have always heard that it is more or less just "snake oil"... so I've never used it and been perfectly fine.
 
If you happen to be using seachems purigen, make sure you are using a compatibale stress coat or you could cause a reaction that would make it inhospitable for your fish. Check out seachems website and their FAQ on purigen. If you are not using it. I don't and have had no problems with my fish, I use RODI, do weekly water changes and moniter my water quality and all there food are supplemented with vitamins. I use to have issues with Ick until I started using the the Vitamins.
