I had to take down my 125g to put in new floors. I put my 3 fish in a 25g tub with lr,dt water, heater and powerhead. They were in there 4 days. yesterday I set my main back up with 50g of new saltwater. I took the powrhead out of the tub to help circulate water in the main. This morning my tang was sick. I freaked out and put all 3 fish back in the main ( I didn't acclimate like I usually do I freaked ) I think maybe I had an ammonia spike or the lack of circulation after I removed the powerhead stressed the tang out. When I put them in the main the tang was laying on his side breathing heavy but after about 30min he got up and started swimming. Is there anything I can do to help him with the stress.

What is the tang doing now? If it's eating and actively swimming there isn't much to worry about anymore.
FWIW tangs need highly oxygenated water, the lack of circulation is likely what caused problems for you. If you had some rock in there, I doubt ammonia creped up enough to stress the fish out.
