Stressed out Bubble Tip

My tomato clown was bugging the flower pot coral so we bought a bubble tip anemone and removed the clown from the tank until the bubble tip could get adjusted. The problem is now the bubble tip seems stressed out in our tank. He's attached himself to a live rock but he's only slightly open. Is there a suggested spot in the tank that they should be kept? In a current..away from a current? Any suggestions?

Give it time to adjust and move to where it wants to be.

How long has your tank been up and running? Lighting?

I had a 33 gal set up for about 6 months and then a month ago I upgraded to a 90gal . For lighting I have T5 HO,2 marine glo 1 life glo and 1 power glo filter fuval fx-5 . I have had a rose bud anemone for two months that has been doing great . The anemone looks better when I just have the marine glo lights on he seams to come out of his rock a little bit more. I have only had him for a few days now but he is not grabbing food yet. He is firmly attached to a live rock and gets a decent amount of current hitting him.

It is hard to tell from the looks of the photo with the Blue light. What have you tried feeding it? I suggest Mysis, and gently target feed it close to its mouth with a "turkey baster" or the likes.

As for the lights, if it looks like it is doing better with less light, it is likely that it has been kept in lower lights. It needs to become accustomed to your lighting. Search this forum (Anemone) for acclimating suggestions. I cannot tell from the photo if the anemone is bleached. It would be good if you could take a picture tomorrow with the full lighting.

Remember the search feature can be one of your best friends. You will soon find out which RC members opinions "hold the most water."
