Stringy Bubbles!

I'm currently cycling my tank. I used all dry Marco rock, other than one small chunk of old dead coral rock I incorporated into my scape. It's barely 4 inches square and an inch thick. It's giving off stringy bubbles. Any idea what it could be?

I assume its giving off something... I didn't worry about curing it because it is so small. I did give it a good rinse. Should I try to siphon them off?

Sometimes when algae grows oxygen is produced through photosynthesis. This might be what's going on there.

"Pearling" is another name for this btw.
