stringy leather

anyone know what this is, it seems to be some kind of filter feeding organism. it seems like it has bore a hole into one of my finger leather and a green sinularia i have. whenever it catches some kind of particle it retracts. has anyone seen these before?

I've seen them coming out of a hole in my LR, three "fishing lines" about three inches long. As far as I know they are from some kind of worm and harmless.

I have them on a leather. They are "feathery" and get about 24" long at times.

No problem!

I know Ron didnt think they would survive but I've had them awile and I have more now than i started with, whatever that is worth.

All my fish but one will swim right through them, one, a Scopas Tang freaks out over them... its funny stuff!
