From when they were fuller to now (looking stringy), did you change/modify their feeding regiment?

When they are searching for food they tend to stretch out, or If they don't have proper lights/aeration.

For instance, with my 2. When they get thinned out that's one of the first signs they show that lets me know it's time to replace my T5 bulbs. Once I do that, within a couple of hours they're plumped back up.

I am wondering if maybe there is something wrong with your salt mix. There have been cases where ingredients get messed up and affect some animals, but not others.

not that i can tell... we use Instant Ocean in all 4 of our tanks... just to readd, flower nems in the same tank are just fine!!!!!

So, when they were plump, were the flower nems in the tank or were those added later? Some anemones don't "work well" in the same tank. I don't know anything about compatability (maybe someone else does)... could that be a factor?

that's kinda what my thoughts were but i thought a weekly feeding wouldn't hurt... on the other hand it hasn't helped...

i'm thinking they either need more flow or different lighting....

I still think you should target feed more often. I feed mine 3 times a week and they grow like crazy! In the past, when I wouldn't spot feed them, they didn't really grow at all and were pretty skinny and stretched out looking for food (not nearly as drastic as yours but along the same lines). I upped their diet and they sprang to life getting larger and more colorful.

Just my .02.

Also, I think sjwitt could be on to something if you added the other nems later, and then they deflated.
