i bought him yesterday i put him in the tank and he took off and hid. so did the picasso trigger and lemonpeel i just bought. but the picasso and lemonpeel where all out about 2 hrs after intrduced. i seen the puffer hiding not breathing heavy at all just chillin.so i get home today still the puffer is hiding my wife said she seen him before the lights came on.now i'm home with the lights onand he is nowhere to be found.is this normal for a puffer to be so skidish.

he probably is just getting astablished in your tank. once you start feeding him he will probably come out alot more looking for food.

i just tried to feed him all kinds of stuff from flakes to prawn ,krill,mysis, silver sides i did't see him eat any but he looked interested in it. his belly is still plump though. if he don't eat tomorrow then i try clams and shrimp to see if he likes those

My dogface still hides from time to time - yesterday it took a good 5 min of peering thru the live rock to finally pick him out - he really can blend in! And he's been in the tank for 3 years. So, not to worry.
