Striped Shrimp/Razor Fish

I find these fish to be pretty interesting, but have had a difficult time finding information on them.

It seems from a few old post on this form that they'll convert to frozen foods rather easily. My only concern is the amount they may need to be feed. On LA they're listed as pipefish, I'm assuming this means that they're feeding schedule is quite strict. Is this correct?

Does anybody have any experience with these fish? Would they do well in a normal reef aquarium, or should they be left alone? Any links to good information on them?

No links but i kept a group of these for quite a long time. I've seen them in Nineball's beautiful reef tank as well. He'd be worth a pm as would Mr Wilson who helped design and maintain the tank http://www.reefcentral.com/forums/showthread.php?p=21567146#post21567146
Personally they were kept with a mixture of seahorses and pipefish. They did well and were easily mantained in the lower flow environment. I don't see them as particularly strong swimmers but the ones in reef tanks i have seen, seem to hold out ok.
Feeding was a mixture of frozen 2-3 times a day. They loved larger food sizes like PE mysis and you'd be surprised what they could fit in. I don't think feeding is an issue as long as the food stays in the water column long enough and there aren't any aggressive feeders present.
One thing i would say is they like each others company. They are one of the few species i would say actually shoal in captivity. I'd go for a minimum of three with the more the merrier. I believe it also explains why these are easier to get onto frozen, it only takes one of the group to show the rest what to do.
