Is there any reason I shouldn't trust this product?
I wanted to originally use Woods Powr-Grips, but they are very expensive.

I am considering purchasing some of these cheaper ones to move an upcoming 300g glass tank (approximately 800-900lbs).

$12.99 each and a 360lb supposed lift capacity.
I think 6 of these would be enough.

Also cheaper on eBay - 6 for $77 shipped or 8 for $101 shipped.

how would it tolerate being in salt water??? it depends on what type of metal the clamps are made of. Plus, I don't know if I'd trust the plastic. It could be like putting a freshwater "sunken treasure" plastic thingy in your tank which can break down releasing potentially harmful products into the water.

This wouldn't be used inside the tank...
It'd be used to move a dry tank into the house and onto a stand.

I'd like the Woods because I know they're good, but they're $65+shipping each... so for 8 it'd be $520+shipping.

Not looking to spend that much. I'm just going to get those ebay/jackstoolshed ones. Should be fine even if they are only as good as 1/2 their weight rating.
