Stronger magnet holders & wavebox question

Hey Roger,

I have a 1" thick acrylic tank that I'm trying to moung a wavebox on, I also have two of the 6200.50 magnet holders that I wanted to give a try - I know they're rated up to 3/4". With the 1" of acrylic between the two halves, the hold obviously doesn't seem to be that strong, and it's pretty easy to slide or even remove one half with minimal effort.

Do you know of anyone that's successfully used a Wavebox with the magnet holders in a 1" thick tank? With two holders, it seems barely doable, but I don't currently see any other options - the rail system won't work in my tank.

Along those lines, are there any plans to create stronger magnet holders?

Thanks,
Perry

there were some stronger magnets but they cost a lot[around $200] and they were VERY dangerous to use. That is the reason tunze stop selling the bigger magnets.

We do plan to make a stronger magnet holder but right now our focus is finishing existing projects and increasing production so all other development is on hold. The best solution for your tank will be to drill the brace and use the rails or drill small holes in the acrylic near the top about 1/4" deep, tap them and use nylon screws to hold the rails directly to the acrylic.
