Stuffing Duncans and Bubbles

I recently picked up an aussie duncan as well as a bubble coral. I have had each of them for over a week.

Both of these corals are a lot of fun to watch feed. I have been stuffing them with brine shrimp and cyclopeze every other day at least.

I have heard that this can make them grow a lot faster, the bubble has been noticeably larger since I picked it up.

I am hoping to keep stuffing the duncan because i want it to grow more heads.

Are they any negative effects from doing this?

Some fish may pick on them if they don't eat fast enough. I had dendro that I fed heavily. The blue tang was picking on it. Later it seemed to choke to death from feeding squid.

I think feeding LPS once or twice a week is enough. Sometimes I don't feed them and they still grow fast. The most important thing is lighting. But yeah feeding is fun :)

How fast of growth do you get on your duncans? I just got my first one about a week ago.

So far none of the fish has bothered the corals while feeding. I really like watching the duncan feed!

That is awesome. I have only one head right now. After I feed I can see a little bumping out near where it's flesh starts. Is this where you normally see new heads form or do they forum further down on the stalk?

Mine's forming a new head at the base of the flesh.
