Stumped. Midas blenny is flashing...

So I have a Midas blenny, sohal and purple tang in a 40 gal breeder. They completed TTM on 1/27 at 10 pm, and into QT they went.

The blenny is the only one who flashes, probably since the second day in QT. But it's like it hovers over the bottom of the tank and does rapid succession flashes. None of them show visible signs of ICH- if it's ich, when would it appear? It's been 9 days for them in QT. Sohal used to flash a lot before ttm, and now nothing.

As I type I just saw the pt shake it's head side to side twice, but I dosed pp on the last tank transfer for three days and then immediately dosed the QT with pp again before they went in, so it's been a total of 8 ays they have been in pp.

I ran carbon on 2/1 and then poly filter on Monday, but I dosed the tank with PP again last night. I did this because I am afraid it's flukes. I say this because for the final transfer before going into qt, my pt had these white lesions on its tail end of the body, they looked like ich, but with tails. Like comma shaped, raised... Little dots of icing, if you will. So I dipped him in wf for 3 mins, but nothing fell off, so I dosed the transfer bucket with pp.

He's been fine since, no more lesions. I've been keeping a close eye on the tangs especially since they're easiest to spot anything. No ich like lesions on any of the three fish.

Oh and btw, the Midas seems to want to bite his tail.

Thoughts? Any insight is appreciated from the experts in here!

Head shaking and tail biting is indicative of flukes. What is the "wf" you dipped him for 3 min?

Sorry, it was FW. LOL

Phew. I'm happier to hear that than ich!

I dosed 2.5 tsp/40 gallon. Poor guy. I almost see as if the gill area looks inflamed, which is where it keeps flashing against the glass. :(

you'd be better off with ICH....Flukes can be a nightmare to eradicate...there are new resistant flukes which require ALOT of treatment-not just prazi pro....there's a thread on here somewhere about it...

Do you have any ammonia in the tank?
