Stunner Strips

I am thinking I want to supplement my 4x54watt T5HO fixture with some stunner strips to get that awesome shimmer effect and to get some color pop. Does anyone have any experience or insight with these? Or are selling any?

I really like the EcoXotic ones but I am unsure if I would need 48" worth or like 3 12" strips spread out a little...
I also don't know which colors would be best 403nm UV, 454nm Blue, or Blue/Magenta combo...
I also like the CurrentUSA TruLumen strips.

I'm also looking at the DIY setups like Rapid LED(I like the CrEe)

Would these be bright enough to get a nice shimmer while my main lights are on?

The stunners will be overpowered by the T5 when on. But would be good as a moonlight or dawn and dusk feature. You would need some higher output led's to have the shimmer with the T5's on.

Thx for the input. My current USA fixture has 4 moonlight LeDS that come on automatically whenever the mains are off. I just want the shimmer during the day without getting rid of the T5s.

What higher power LEDs do you think? Do you mean like the Cree LEDs from rapid Led?

My kessil A150's produce a beautiful shimmer, it was almost too much when i first turned them on and the surface of my water was really turbulent

The blue magenta is VERY pink we exchanged ours ...we now have an all blue and a blue/white

There's some diy kits on the sponsor sections that are pretty easy that would work. And you can choose your colors on most. Or there are a few strip type leds that are powerful enough to override the T5's when they are on. Reefbrite is one I can think of.
