Stupid clown and sick GBTA anemone

I bought my GBTA about 3 weeks ago or so...

I also bought a cinninmon clown...

Well within hours the clown found the anemone... He WILL NOT leave it alone...

The anemone has hidden in caves among the tank moving around etc... He's found a spot in the back where he gets good light and has opened up some... However its looking pretty bleached, I try to feed him and the clown takes the food out of the anemone... Just 10 mins ago, I fed my rock/flower anemone a tasty piece of silverside... I figured the GBTA would love the other half of it over the pieces of squid I've been feeding the rock anemone... The clown was biting the tongs I use and took the silverside out and spit it on the sand, my snails came right out from under the sand and went to town on it, I tried again with another half holding it in the tentaclies of the GBTA, no luck....

so I fed the other half to the rock anemone, he gladly accepted quickly too...

Whats up with my poor GBTA.... I feel like its gonna die and I'm trying to feed him but he wont take and the damn clown keeps pulling the food away, and even for the 20-30 seconds I scare him away, the food just falls out the anemone...

Can anyone help ??? or is this GBTA a death waiting to happen ?

Can you try distracting your clown by feeding him on the other side of the tank? Slip the anemone a small piece of food while the clown is eating and see if he takes it. You may have to seperate them to allow the anemone to settle in if he won't leave it alone.

Can you try to cover the anemone with something while it eats, like a strawberry basket or something similar to keep the clown away for awhile. That BTA needs help fast. Maybe put the clown in a QT tank for awhile?

I've feed the fish while feeding the clown, It gave me enough "alone time" with the GBTA... but he WONT eat... I dunno what to do... I think I am gonna offer it to a club member to see if someone can nurse it back to health for me... I'm not happy about it, but wht can I do.. I'm trying at least... =0(

well one of the members on my local club is going to take the GBTA, I feel she can get this guy back to health, I cant just watch it die, it bothers me way 2 much..

She's willing to trade me a frag or 2 for him and that's more then fair of her !!!

So hopefully I can report back in a couple months and say hey that GBTA of mine is in good health now !!!!
