Stupid Question?

Ok, I have Power Compacts right now, Orbit 30in, dual daylight dual actnic,,, now. I'm considering upgrading to something like this, http://www.drsfostersmith.com/product/prod_display.cfm?c=3578+3733+13975&pcatid=13975

Its the SunPod, with 6 Blue LED 6 White LED, and the 14k Metal Halide, ???? Is metal halide actinic to? Or what makes everyhing glow when I go to Metal Halide? I was looking at someones thread that had the Sunpod Metal Halide and everything looked AMAZING, plus I really think it would be worth the upgrade.

No, metal halide is not actinic. All metal halides are full spectrum bulbs. The higher the 'K', the bluer the light. The bluer the light, the more florescence you're going to get. Many people supplement their metal halide with florescent actinic lighting to really bring out the "glow" in the corals. Unfortunately, you're not going to have that with this particular setup, since the LEDs are just moonlights. If you want to get a little more glow, you could always change out the stock bulb with a 20K, which is a much bluer bulb.
