stupid sea hare

Oh man; somewhere in the middle of the night the kids' sea hare was squeezing through a hole in the LR, got himself (herself?) wedged in it and forgot where reverse was. It tugged and tugged and cut off it's own breathing (on its back) and flat out died. I had to chisel out the rock to get it out. When I got the thing out it was all long and skinny until you got to it's backside which was huge. What a sad state of affairs. I held its rills under the power-head... but to no avail. My wife said "go out and buy another" . I think not. Silly rabbit. RIP.

At least it didn't get caught in an intake to a pump or something and crash your whole tank. I've had bad experiences with that before. ; /

they get themselves into trouble

they get themselves into trouble

i had one get caught in one of my seios. luckily my algae prob went away.

He was sorta cute in a grotesque sort of way.

I had one for 2 days and he got caucht in the intake of one of my powerheads. I'm still debating whether to replace him.

IMO these things are a waste of money. The first one I bought fell victim to my picasso trigger who didn't eat him just shredded him and left him for dead. The second one got a little to close to the top of the tank and Mary (my cat) found out that if she stood on the fridge she could reach down and throw him into my bed so I would find him later all nice a dried up! lol

Hey Boomsticks.. I just read that post ! LMAO.

I have had fish jump out of tanks, cucumbers kill everything in a tank, and anemones get caught in powerheads. But never had to sleep with a dead sea hare :P
