in 2008 in e-coralia one speak about different corals with Dendro982 and in the same topic, they commented on the Stylaster's: http://www.e-coralia.com/panel/showthread.php?10615-Porites-porites-y-...-porites

I believe that it is worth while putting some current pics:

My distichopora has definitely been growing. I can see new white tips with polyps pointing out of them.

It's going to be tough due to the location of the coral (in the back of the tank), but I will try. After I get through my midterms :)

Colt, How to see if they are alive? I cant seems to see anything!?

hi Terry
the pictures are really bad and do not help much to see up close the coral, however, promise new images up close and Let me know if they are alive or not.

Thanks bro, I am interested in keeping but it seems i cant seem to find out how they are alive..

i saw a lace coral at my LFS on Saturday. A pretty yellow/orangy one. It didn't look like much in person, I decided to skip the purchase.

I have had a blue lace coral for about a year, and honestly dont know for sure if its alive or not. It hasnt grown, but it doesnt look like its decaying either. I keep it in the tank becuase whenever I touch it, it is smooth and slightly slimy, so I figure it has to be living if its producing this and not wasting away. It was light blue when I got it and is now a darker deep blue, but I do keep it shaded in a cave as I heard they do not like light. I have never seen it "open" or display any polyps

If I didnt remember wrongly, their polyps are hair like structures and very difficult to see them.. I saw one at my LFS, thinking whether to get it or not...
