Can you recommend a brand/grade of substrate and depth for a yellow head jawfish?
I realize i need lots of rubble as well.
Thx!

Carib-Sea Seafloor dry aragonite, special grade would be perfect for a jawfish. Depth 3-5" is best.

I had mine in a nano with the smaller aragonite sand for about a year. I moved him to my rimless 140 with very fine sand about 6 months ago. I wasn't sure how he was going to do and for the first few days I though I was going to have to move him back to the nano. He was having problems making a burrough because of the fine sand so I finally fixed it by taking a 4" long piece of I think 3/4" PVC and buried it under a rock. He found it right away and has been perfect ever since.
