I bought this rock a year or so ago. IT was in the live rock tank at Pet Mart and I noticed a very tiny bright green spot on it. I picked it up for .50cents. I brought it home and put it my 29 reef. Over the course of the last 6 months it has grown and now resides in my 75 . It's now 13 polyps strong and continuing to grow. It eats very well and is very reactive to food being put in the tank.
Not much in the area of interest but I'm bored and it's late. My wife says I have to name it now. GRRRRReeeeaaaat. I'm thinkin lucky. LOL

looks like a trumpet coral...? i ahve something that looks fimiliar to that. regardless, really cool looking and indeed a great find!

That is a great piece - great husbandry I'd say. You should be very proud of yourself. If it is a trumpet - how about after a great trumpet player - like Maynard Ferguson, Louis Armstrong etc. I name all my corals and fish it is so much fun.

Great job!

I too have a rock in my tank now and it has two bright neon green spots on it....have no idea what it is!!

Hey Kirdes - can you give us a photo? Start a new thread for us and post some photos - we'd love to try to ID it.
