Successfully Moved my Reef Tank Contents 1400 mi.

Don't think I would want to use the water from the Great Salt Lake, but I found this post on the local reef club's (WMAS) forum about oolitic sand in the area that you can just pick up, wash and use in your tank. Cool, no more paying outrageous prices to set up a sand bed! I went to my first club meeting tonight and Julian Sprung gave a presentation. Wished I could have been in STL when Anthony Calfo was there. Anyway here is some info about the local oolitic sand and tufa rock. I might just set up an experimental tank using the local sand and rock in my 58 or 75 once I get everything moved out here just as an experiment.
