Suction rating for Peristaltic pumps

Hi,

I'm looking to use either an AVAST or BRS Peristaltic pump to "suck" water from my basement water storage tank to my ATO resivoir tank which is on the floor above (beside my sump).

There is a 10-15 foot horizonal run coupled with a 5 foot vertical run.

I need the pump to remain by in my tank cabinet for the controller is located there and the pump needs to plug into it.

everything i have read says the pumps can pump UP 20ft with no issues, but there is nothing advising if the suction strength is the same.

is what im looking to do possible with either pump or is there another solution?

I don't know specifically with either pump, but it should be possible to suck from about 30 feet or less. It depends on whether the suction tubing will collapse under that suction. If it is rigid enough a good peristaltic pump should be able to draw from 10 to 15 ft.

The BRS pump will work. You only have to worry about the five foot vertical run, the horizontal won't affect the pump at all.
