Sudden loss of punctato butterfly - diagnosis

Lost a juvenile punctato butterfly last night, not sure of the diagnosis.

Background: Purchased June 27th, went to QT immediately (115 gallon tall)

SG 1.025
Temp. 78
Ammonia/nitrate/nitrite 0 (Elos test kits)

Fish eating PE mysis from the get go, noticed ich 10 days ago, began TT method

Tank transfer is done in 55 gallon long split with center divider, fresh SW at same SG and temp as QT. Also started prophylactic prazipro treatment after first transfer (day #4).

Everything was going well with fish eating well (4x day) and no sign of ich after 2nd transfer. Yesterday was third transfer and I noticed what appeared as a reddish bruise on its side. I don't think it was from transferring as I use a calonder not a net and never required any chasing, just dip, drain and transfer.

About 3 hours later, I noticed the bruise was darker (brownish) and fish had no appetite (first time ever). By 5 or 6 hours fish was breathing rapidly and difficulty swimming. An hour later it was dead. The "bruise" had opened up to an ulcer on its side with visible tissue missing.
I don't suspect tank water as I drain each side after transfer, wipe with chlorine and dry for one day. Then it is refilled the day prior to transfer back in and UV run on it for 24 hours.

I also use a ammonia alert badge all the time and it never detected anything.

Any idea what has happened here? Some form of flesh eating bacteria?

Sorry about your loss. I had a similar issue/description with what you said there on a copperband butterfly too. Was good for a couple of days after purchase and on the right rear side of the fish developed a quarter size ulcer that ate thru him. I figure it was some type of flesh eating bacteria too. Thankfully - it didn't transfer to any of my other fishes.

Hope someone knows.

I'm still not sure, but uronema may have been the case although I'm not convinced as how rapidly it progressed. From normal appearance and appetite to dead with a deep ulcer in less than 24 hours? Is vibrio also a possibility?

Sorry, first time I've ever encountered this. Ich seems like child's play compared to this.
