I feed flakes every 3rd day and I add calsuim and iodine once a week. Also I was woundering what would be a good fish next in my tank I addid a fire fish and the clowns ran him for 2weeks and I got rid of him also what would be a good coril to add next :strooper:

A Royal Gramma is a good fish addition and you can add some Zoa's, Ricordea mushrooms, and leather's, or maybe even some LPS type corals since your tank has been established for a year. LPS like Frogspawn, Torch or Hammer's are really cool.

I like my blennies, I have a midas and canary, both are active swimmers in the tank. Any specific colors you were interested in having in your fish?

Try some ricordea or zoas. I also like leathers a lot. Any would work in your tank.

Are you testing you calicium and iodine? You shouldn't dose anything you can't test.

I typically feed my tank a mix of frozen cyclopeeze and mysis. I like frozen foods better then flake.

:)No I do not test calicium and iodine my lfs says just add once a week and should be ok could this cause problums? I was interested in having a bright red fish any suggestions
thanks

Do you test for iodine? Do you have a reason for dosing the iodine? You might search around here and research about whether you need to do it.

I would think the feather dusters might benefit from some phytoplankton but if they are doing well then they're getting nutrition from the tank. I do occassionally feed zooplankton. Actually the fish seem to feed on it.

I would recommend you get Salifert brand test kits for Calcium and Alkalinity and test your levels weekly.

I wouldn't trust everything one person or LFS says. Finding a consensus and going with your gut tend to work for me. It really isn't safe to dose anything that you cannot test. You can overdose your tank and cause problems then help. Also, every manufacturer of salt has a slightly different makeup and every batch may also have variations, so there is no one solution.

Red? Have you checked out fairy and flasher wrasses? The red parrot fairy wrasse (http://www.marinedepotlive.com/red-parrot-fairy-wrasse---cirrhilabrus-rubripinnis-fish--wrasses.html) or the flame wrasse (http://www.marinedepotlive.com/flame-wrasse--male----cirrhilabrus-jordani-fish--wrasses.html) come to mind. I also have a yasha hase shrimp goby (http://www.marinedepotlive.com/yasha-hase-shrimp-goby---stonogobiops-yasha-fish--gobies.html) and randal's pistol. Great little fish and a nice flash of red.
