Dear All,

My Display tank dimension as ff;

90 cm x 60 cm x 60 cm

I have already an MP 40WES hooked up but I feel the flow is not really nice as there are some dead spot and SPS seems to be not so happy.

Now, I would like to buy one Jebao RW 15 and to be place directly opposite of my MP 40wes, will this series too strong or just fine or too slow for my tank size? or should I go for RW 20, which is only slightly different in price from the RW15?

will a single Jebao RW 15 can create a good wave and no need to buy a pair to do the job?

hope to hear from you guys!

cheers,

MD

I don't have any of the rw series, but I have 2 wp25's on mine.
Rw8 is equivalent to the Wp25, and one wp25 is enough to make a wave in my 6 foot tank.

Thanks ! Anymore feedback are welcome as it will greatly help me decide my selection

Will the RW 15 be to strong enough that I am worry will blown down my corals ? I have seen in you tube and for 84" long tank one single RW 15 blast the water away like tsunami

Hi there!
My Jebao RW 15 already arrived. As the controller was positioned at the sump cabinet so if set night mode , even during day time we less lights around still the pump run as night mode , I wonder how sensitive the sensor is?

If I does not use night mode , will the wave running continuously really will affect the creature inside the tank? I just set my speed at about 30% only .

Yep, the RW-15 is very powerful, I feel like I wasted money because I cannot turn it up like it's design to do. I wish I would have got the RW-8 along with by MP40 on a 4 foot tank.

RW 8 and RW 15 price different is not much but I guess is I select RW 8 , I may be disappointed as I think RW 15 I can adjust speed the way I wanted it to create flow

What exactly are you trying to accomplish? In most cases, a gyre is best for minimizing dead spots. A gyre can be attained with a single pump, or an alternating gyre can be created with multiple pumps and a controller.

If you are looking for something more random or a wave, then you'll have to play around with the controller and try some different setups to see what you like best. This is highly variable and dependent on the tank, setup, and personal preference.

My previous MP 40 W are not able to really removed detritus underneath of the LR. That is why I buy a much cheaper Jebao RW15 to see if Thai can be a supplemental to the said MP40.

I hesitating to buy the much higher prices Gyre , as I think it is more commercial publication than the actual it can do , I did that before with my MP40 but at the end , disappointment prevail . But I still do love my MP 40 though .
