I called them today and they said they do not do that anymore or take fish for store credit. I put him on craigslist today. I have to get rid it. It is eating my fish and making a big sand mess. I tried to return it the second day I bougth from my LFS here and she pretty much said sorry, you are SOL. Live and learn I guess.

+1000 on that Michael.

Ken,

Do not go back there ever man.

Tell me about it Andy!!!!
IF you guys have noticed last time when we had a meeting at Fins, I DID NOT attend! I could of cause it's near by my work. But I did not! I don't like the way I was being treated a week prior when I was in there. I needed to purchase a few items, but I did not buy it from them. I got all my supplies at Critters. Will I ever go into any of their stores again? NO! Crystal checks on this message board sometimes and she hasn't in awhile after I pointed some stuffs out right out in the open in her face. She's a know it all and gives very bad advice! I'm very open, honest, and forward person. Will I say this to their face in person, YES!

Yes, the Vista Corner tank, is a great unique shaped tank from *******. Really eye-catching piece ! Hope to see the progress on your aquarium, nice job !

GRRRR. Got my order in from BRS today. 60lbs of Fiji Pukani Rock.
The guys who packaged it put all of the rock in one big bag and threw it in a small box of peanuts. Well, look at the pic below. You can almost break this rock with your hands. Thats how pourous it is. One quick email to Andrew showing him what was in the box led to an email from him saying "60 more pounds of rock just shipped to you" The packaging guys were supposed to ship in multiple boxes. Sorry for the inconvenience.

Now that's service.

Beautiful rock though!

Yeah, I am done with the whole FINS conglomo. I bought a clown goby from them last friday, needless to say it didn't work out. My trumpet coral are dead(I watched the little a-hole destroy them, it took 3 days. i took it back just to trade it for something else, and I know they are eleven bucks, but that is eleven bucks if you know what i'm saying. They said they would give me 2 dollars credit!! I had the fish for 3 maybe 4 days!!!

Emerald Bay or Critter from now on.

just my .02

You can Have your thread back now. BTW i really like that tank. I think pillars/mounds is a good idea for that tank. Maybe construct a drop off type. That is if you are still working on it.

wow, this thread really got hijacked. that said, here is another one, and it is just my experience. Crystal has always been good to me. I dont listen to too many as for advice goes. not even the guys at the critter or ebay. do my research online and go from there. Never 100% trusted a LFS. as fo rhte clown gobie someone mentioned. I had the critter also deem them reef safe. YEA RIGHT. loved to munch on my SPS. Lesson learned. had same issue with a bi color blenny. both are evil little fish. clown gobie was just stupid and easy to catch!

I have never had a good experience at Ebay. always feel like an outsider when in their store and just never seen anything in their tanks that has interested me. the one coral I did buy from there cratered a few weeks after I got it. and I have a very stable mature tank. plus they are on the ends of the earth for me to go visit.

we shall see how Fins and Fur does. They have really made an investment in the new store and the saltwater business. hopefully for their sake, they do read the threads and cam work more to accomodate those of us in the area. time will tell

Ok. im done with my 2 cents.

ken, ill see you a bit later on today about that tank and will bring the Xenia.

Well put, Lindsey. I agree. Not only do I hope they read the threads, but also that they DO SOME HONEST RESEARCH. :)
