Suggestions for 125 Gallon Setup

I've dabbled in reef and FOWLR keeping and a finally at a point where I am trying again, this time just a fowler tank with at least one trigger (love those triggers)

I have a 125 gallon tank that I will run with shallow sand base of aragonite, 20 gallon refugium, aqua c remora and lots of water movement.

Light is power compact strips, should be fine. I have metal halides but don't see any need in a fowlr tank (right)

Any suggestions or pics from someone with a nice mix of fish or setup would be appreciated.

Thanks:D :p

MH not needed in FOWLR. Since you are set to have a trigger, you need to watch what other fishes you add. They have to be able to hold their own. In a 125g perhaps a trigger , yellow tang, a couple of percs, royal gramma and a six line wrasse w/b good.

Pick out fish you like and post them here in a list and have people narrow the list for you to fit what you can put in that tank.

Good idea.

Fish I like:

Odonus Niger or Pink Triggerfish

Naso Tang

a puffer

snowflake eel

dragon goby

Fiji blue devil

Dog face puffer, freakin awesome and not aggressive, no odonus, will be mean as heck after a bit, get a humuhumu, much better looking and don't get 18" like the odonus, only get 8-9". Get rid of the remora as its a pos, and get the largest sump you can fit under your tank. I have two 40g rubbermaids connected under my 125, gives me a large fuge and sump.
