Price is somewhat relative when you add it all up. The heavy duty timers are about $8 if i remember right at HD. I needed these since the others are all non-grounded.... $16 for 2 timers or $25 for 2 timers and some extra outlets.... not much difference considering the overall investment. a Reefkeeper will be in my future some day.
A good idea i read about here at RC is having your feeding pumps on one of these timers with extra "on" pins and no "off" pins. backup for us morons who get distracted at feeding times and forget to turn the pumps back on.
I've used both Coralife and the ones at HD. The coralife you can have your lights I think 3 daytime and 3 night and also have a few regular non-timed. What's nice is that you only need one timer for say 3 sets of lights coming on at different times. With the HD or Lowes timers I couldn't find ones that will do multiple on/off without using 2 timers. I'm not sure if I just confused you more - but . . .
