suggestions on upgrading light.

I have a 12g nano cube and want to add corals. does anyone have and advice on a light under 225.i just want some zoos and polyps

Hi, I just did an upgrade on my 12 gallon nanocube. I ordered a 2 x 24w retro from Nanocustoms.

The plus obviously is more light.

The negative is that all the wiring and ballast are external. Not sure what I am going to do with it yet.

I will say though that I am happy with the extra light. I am going to search the nano forum and see what people are doing with the wiring and ballast. I know I can't be the first with this question.

Mina did you get an option to send your hood in or did you buy a new hood from them. i cant get them on the phone or email now..just wondering how much it cost and all i want 5 leds 3 24w and fans and a ballast. i just like to order over the phone.but is that how it works buy anew hood or send yours in

You have the option to send it in, but I decided to do it myself.

As I stated, I got the 2 x 24watt retro kit, with shipping, it was $91 and some change.

Had some difficulty with some directions, but Chris at nanocustoms was very helpful.
