Suggestions

Im looking for a good protein skimmer for a 50 gallon reef. im leaning towards the AquaC Remora Pro but which pump (Rio or Mag-Drive 3)? or what about the Corallife super skimmer? Any other suggestions? i would like a good skimmer for a reasonable price.

I don't have an Remora, but my EV-180's an Aqua-C and I like it. The Remora Pros are generally given good reviews in these threads but people also like the Coralife skimmers. As for the pump....I have experience with both the Rios and the Mags and I would say that you'd be way better off with the Mag...hands down.

now im between the CSS 125 and the AquaC Remora Pro w/ Mag 3... anyone feel one is much better than the other?

Hello CSS rock and a little cheaper than the AquaC Remora pro usually get what you pay for but not in this case until the company keeps seeing these posts and boosts the price lol Just my opinion Bill

I have a Aqua c Remora Pro It works pretty good. I also have a coralife 220. The coralife does a better job on my system than the Pro. It is also a bigger rated unit but cheaper than the Pro by about 75 bucks. If you got the room and are down to the CSS and the Aqua C I think I would get the CSS

if i have about 4 1/2" behind my tank is there enough room for the CSS 125?
