Two days ago I convinced my wife to go to the local Ford dealership with me to pass time while her dog was being groomed... Told her I had no intentions of getting anything, and promised I wouldn't get my hopes up, which she said was a good thing since we weren't buying a new car...

Long story short, I'm the proud owner of a brand new 2009 Mustang GT with a 5-Speed tranny. 300HP;320lb/ft torque... Mmmm...

Yeah, the road trip bug is already biting...

I'd love to get a convoy together and cruise for 4 or 5 days straight, just to see where we ended up. Always thought that would be neat.
 
That's the next car I want to get. Fortunately/Unfortunately (depending on how you wanna look at it) my car is still going strong. Is that an auto or manual tranny?
 
^^^ guess I could've just taken notice of the clutch or the shifter in the center column. Answered my own question...thanks for playing name that idiot. Man, that's 2 bonehead moves in one day.

Yeah...well I've been up since 6 AM and spent the first 7 hours frantacically trying to set up something that would work to keep a remenant of what I spent the last 3 years working toward alive. I'll definitely be visiting your place once I move and get the tank stablized for good again to get some more of those nice SPS frags that I lost. Some of them were coloring up super nicely too...:(
 
Very nice. The tan hides really set it off. Probably can go through a set of tires just by using the skinny pedal on the right. I like it alot

Come out an autocross it. Your ego will eventually recover from some civic driver blowing away your best times.
Seriously, great car. Finally some decent handling to go with the power.
 
Thanks again everyone! I've been loving the sound of the stock exhaust on the GT when you drop it into 3rd on the highway and pull away from all the little 16-18 year olds that think their little 4 banger can compete...
 
i love the GT it is sweet i love all Mustangs. im actuly hopen my dads freind comes thru with a 94 mustang for me for my first car. and i agree those little 4 cinlinders are week everyone wants a little tuner car. its all about american muscel.GREAT CAR HOPE YOU ENJOY IT AND DONT GET SPEEDING TICKETS LOL(i would)

I've been to your place two or three times, but never saw your Stang, got any pics? Never noticed your sig said your interests were reefing and Mustangs...

It was for a while, now it is in my old garage so that is probably why he missed it.

I have pictures somewhere, but not sure where, I will try to find some.

A TL is going to be my next car. I have filled in valet at work a few times and have fallen in love with those cars. My Jeep is fun but not so much a roadworthy toy.

What mods are you looking at for the Stang.
