Hey everyone, I'm here with a summer school class and we are going through the process of designing a reef tank setup for our school. We are doing a lot of reading and research and will probably be posting a lot of questions about how to start and maintain our reef tank. The students will post questions, most likely, under this thread and would love for you to share your knowledge with them. The questions will be about anything and everything regarding the setup and maintenance so bear with us. Thank you!

I am a student at pritzker college prep and we are trying to set up a reef tank. If I have multiple different types of filters should I multiple or stick to one method at a time?

When it comes to coral reef, are there any types of fish that shouldn't be in the tank with the fish or are all the fish able to live with coral reef?

Hi I'm a student at Pritzker College Prep and I was wondering if there are there any types of fish that clean the fish tank? If so, what kind of fish is the best for cleaning the algae/bacteria out of the fish tank?

Well, this is going to get out of hand quickly. Start reading the stickies on the top of each forum, especially this page: http://www.reefcentral.com/forums/showthread.php?t=1031074

How old are you folks?

This. In the spirit of research, y'all should first read through the options, come up with a plan, and check back. That way the people here can let you know if you're tracking in the right direction or not.

First, you all should determine a budget, this will dictate what you can/cannot do. Then go from there.

The Tank that we are using is Corallife LED BioCube 32.
2 Clowns
1 fuzzy dwarf lion (there venomous but are really cool and will get tank attention but you may have to feed it live food)
1 Valentine toby puffer (may pick at corals my grandparents have on in a reef and it does fine)
Some kind of goby or jawfish
Maybe some damsel or chromis
