Sump baffles information

Hi all,

I am building a sump to try to save some money and will be using a regular 30 gallon Aqueon aquarium tank as my sump. The size of this tank is:
36 1/4 x 12 5/8 x 16 3/4. I would like to know what size glass panels I would need, how many, and how to go about spacing them in the tank. I was thinking about using the Reef Octopus Classic 152-S skimmer on my 90 gallon aquarium unless there is something else that you would recommend.

Thanks

your best bet would be to put your equipment in the empty tank. see how many baffles you'll need to have it spaced the way you want. and if making a mental not isn't enough you can use cardboard to temp set it up and see visually if it looks how you want it. three spaces seems to be the go to setup. water in/refuguim or skimmer section, return section. and you can setup a bubble trap on the last baffle if you please. i asked a similar question and didn't have much luck with responses. best bet is to find a setup you like online and try to copy it. 1/4 glass is best, IMO, for the baffles.
