I am in need for a design for 180 gallon tank. Also, i need help with the build if possible. I can pay with 48x24 3/8 acrylic sheets.

Im up for any design. I just need it to fit a Reef Octopus Skimmer (14"x13"), fug, 2 filter socks, probes for temp and ph, ATO values and return.

See attached photo for some ideas.

I built my sump with a similar design you posted. A table saw is best for cutting the acrylic. Are you using cell cast acrylic? There are a lot of youtube videos on working with acrylic. I'm assuming I live too far away to help but it is actually quite easy to do. See what the opimum water level is for your skimmer so you can make an area in the sump for it.

I would just use a 40 gallon breeder, unless you have the acrylic laying around....or maybe even still. You can use that for a separate fuge or something...

You have access to cnc machinery thats nice but not really needed to make a square box Whats your question ? if wondering about the "glue"look up weldon 40 , thats a good place to start plenty of other products but that will get your google started. Doesnt have to be cell cast but cell cast looks better and has good track record. what are you wanting help with?
its not really very hard to do , mostly having the time and the pipe clamps big enough to hold it together.

I have weldon 4 , I just want help with bonding the joints. I don't trust myself doing it but don't want to spend 400$ on a sump we I have acess to acrylic just need someone to bond it.

Pick up a 125g used cheap, buy glass for the baffles and done. Did mine for 125$

Im looking for a pic now... and here we are

I didnt see you were using acrylic. Use the weldon and it will be fine as long as you keep it pressed together tightly when its drying. Test it outside before putting any water in it (i would have learned the hard way if i didnt do this) If you have any little leaks you can easily fix them until its ready.

Have confidence in yourself. Its MUCH easier then you think.

google meleev's reef...he makes sumps and has a bunch of designs on his site.
how much of a design do you need for a rectangular box with a couple baffels ?
post a picture of your setup and you might get some more responses
