i have built a sump out of a 29 gal tank thats has 3 section (skimmer/return/fug). my skimmer is too big and tanks up half of the sump and leaves me with very little space for my fug and return. my return hold about 2 - 3 gals of water. the evaporation is about a gal a day and i have to top off everyday. i am planing on setting up and separate tank for the fug. i attach a pic below to explain my situation.
the blue line it the bottom of my DT, the green lines are my current piping setup, gray is my new piping set up, red is a piece of glass that is dividing the return and fug. so what i want to do is tank the red line out and leave that whole area for the return. will the new piping work? will it be able to push the the water coming out of the DT up and into the new fug? how could i make this work? the new fug will be in a cabinet next to the DT cuzz i dont have room under my stand to put it in.
