Sump help!

Should I let all my water pass through a refugium or let some of it by pass and go straight to the skimmer? Plus what is the best and simplest sump design that incorporates a fuge and a skimmer? How should it be plumed?

What return pump are you using? How many gph are you shooting for as turn-over through your sump? Are you building a new sump, ie: blank slate, or working with something you already have?

My sump is skimmer/return/fuge

I have my drain going to skimmer section. I have a small pump in my return area feeding my fuge.

My return pump is 1110 gph and brand new sump blank slate!

Is that pumping water from ur fuge to ur return or form ur return to ur fuge?

Pumping from return to fuge. Then the water trickles back over to the return section.
