Is a pro clear aquatics Pro 75 Wet / Dry sump any good? If not what is a good one to get. I just got a 75 gallon tank.

The megaflow isn't much more expensive, except that you have tro put your own skimmer in it which is awesome!

you can make a sump so much cheaper. Buy a 29 gallon tank or just buy a rubbermaid tub. Use the extra money on a nice skimmer. ASM G-3 is a good choice. The Octopus ones are also getting good reviews from people. I originally bought one of those pro clear sumps - I threw it in the garbage.

How good is Pro 175 Wet / Dry sump that does not have the built in skimmer? If it is a bad one can some people tell what are some good sumps to get?

Save your money and make your own. They are not complicated things to make. Buy a rubbermaid bin, buy your own skimmer. I had my overflow box drain into a bucket that I drilled holes into. Since the water level was above the hose leading into the sump, I did not get any noise or micro bubbles from it. In my opinion, all the sumps that you buy are overpriced and unnecessary.

The most important part of having a sump is making sure it functions. ANJHOF is right. A rubbermaid tub will work perfectly and get the job done for pennies considering what a retail setup will cost you.
