Sump help

So I'm building a 10 gallon sump for my 38 gallon seahorse tank. My question is regarding my baffles, I have 1 high & 1 low, basically splitting the tank in 3rd's. What side should I put my return pump on?

The one that has the most volume in gallons IMO. How much flow are you pushing though? I wouldn't think a seahorse tank would have enough flow to justify baffles.

Is that the overflow or the actual pump number?

To answer your question, I think you'll want the return pump in the end chamber after the baffle that the water flows over. This will leave the other chambers at a constant level & the return section will be where you'll install your ATO setup. That will be your evaporation zone.

By the way, why are you setting the baffles up that way?
