Sump light recomendation

I have a clip on reflector from home depot. I am trying a new bulb. Its a 120 watt equivalent spiral with a 3500K spectrum. Its yellow as heck, but so far, chaeto seems to be growing.

I think most will recommend a cheap reflector with a bulb in the 5000K or less range. I would like to hear others opinions though, so bump!

+1 I have the same from HD.

I have an acan led on mine and its growing out controll .....but you may not want to go that route if your looking on the cheep....eBay has the Chinese evergrows 89$

HD has a husky 15 watt LED work light for $35. I have used it for 2 years and it provides excellent chaeto growth and lays on top of my fuge clear lid. It finally gave out recently, I tried figuring out/fixing problem but the entire led driver circuit is potted in some kind of epoxy.
Gave up and bought a new one. Should have kept old one but figured waranty was up and $35 not to bad. Turns out it has a 3 year warranty. can find cheaper equivalant on ebay, but this can be returned to HD. worth a few bucks extra to me.

Highly recommend if you have a lid on your fuge/sump that you can lay it on. If open top go with the clamp lights with cheap spiral bulb.

Thanks - I'll try to go with CFL and clamp lamp. I heard some people use 150w MH to get really good grow. BTW does chaeto deplete "good" elements from the water?
