Sump pump hose for drain to sump

Would anyone think this pipe is inappropriate for an emergency drain from tank? Picture is attached.

I plan on using standard pvc from tank setup as a siphon with valve, and use this for two spare 1 inch emergency drains.

No matter how stupid this sounds, my concern is primarily whether the product is safe for an aquarium, and not whether this is a good idea or bad idea for other reasons.

Purchased from menards and it's cheap and easy to insta. IMG_2678.jpg

Thoughts??

I've used this in the past and did not like the way it holds. I had to zip-tie the hose on my return bulkhead. I eventually swapped it out but it worked for the year I had it on my freshwater tank.

I use that on mine for draining my sump/algae scrubber in the basement. I like to be able to roll it up and out of the way when not in use.

Although it is perfectly safe to use, it will have a tendency to collect crud and/or algae in the grooves. If it is to be used only as an "emergency" drain I woldn't think you'd have a problems at all.
