Sump question

I'm going to sound like a newbie because I am but I have bought a 75 gallon tank from petco during their deal but I have also got in a 800 gph overflow and the returns and going to drill soon my question is I want a sump that I can upgrade to a bigger tank with so I'm going overkill on this one I'm looking at the bashsea 48x18x16 I know it's big enough for my 75 question is how big could I upgrade to with this sump in the future if any other sumps come to mind and are cheaper let me know what would be best

There really is no sump size = tank size..
A sump is intended to allow you to keep any equipment hidden out of sight and not in the display and to allow you to increase water volume..
One could easily use that sump for a system of hundreds of gallons if you wanted..

That would be a large sump. Easily big enough for a 180+ gallon display.

If you are going to drill your 75G, be careful and make sure all the panes are not tempered glass.
