Sump Tank Build - Tips to keep it quiet

Hi All -

Getting ready to plan out my sump build for a 75 gallon tank.

Looking for tips on how to make it as quiet as possible.

Anyone got some surefire go-to's to keep it silent?

Siphon drain system (Bean or Herbie) from the display to the sump.

DC return pump.

High water level in the overflow will help.

run your drain lines below the water level.

use rubber mats or silicon pads under return pumps to dampen vibration.

look for a quiet skimmer. a noisy skimmer can really cause a ruckus.

i also bought some cheap sound insulation material from Amazon. it's like Dynamat if you're familiar. i put it up inside the stand. i'm not sure it helped all that much, but it's a thought.
