Im switching over to a sump. I have the 92 corner...will a 15 gal sump be alright for that...thats about all i can fit comfortably under my tanks. It has the drain portion that overflows into the refuge then flows into the return area where the skimmer and the return pump are housed. Im hoping this will be good enuff in size cuz im runnin low on room. Let me know...thanks

Personally I think that might be a little small, especially since you are looking for SPS. I think you might want to look into a bigger refuge portion. Also, are you running a prefilter sock of some sort off the overflows?
Are your return and skimmer able to be ran externally from the sump to give you more room?

well i just upgraded my sump. I am having the company make me what equates to a 30gal sump. the refuge will take priority meaning, its going to be bigger. The skimme that i just bought will be sitting in the sump so i can remove the skimmer i have on the back of my tank. the refuge will be about twice the size as my original config. so ill be able to have a good mud/sand bed with plenty of neat little things growing in it.
outside walls are great 
. We put ours through our outside wall into the garage, but I know of others that have put their sumps, etc completely outside, in a shed or what not... but I know that seems a bit extreme for your tastes
EDIT : All you need are two 1 1/2" holes for the 1" drain and return lines.. it is not like you need to cut a hole section out or anything

I have been wondering how that works out lately......how does it affect how much the heater/chiller runs in the summer and winter.....and is it open to contamination, or self contained? I would think the best alternative is into an adjoining room in the home....say into the guest bedroom closet to use the central air in the house that hopefully is more static to minimize those daily and seasonal fluctuations. For people who have done this? Any opinion?
As far as the original question......as big as you can go, for added water volume and space if you have an in-sump skimmer and what not.......make sure its tall enough or less water than the sump can hold so when the pumps are shut off, the display has enough overflow to drain into......adds a a couple inches to mine, when mine is shut off, so be sure to keep that in mind.
