Sumpless ATO

Im looking for an ATO for a sumpless 34 gallon tank. Would the Nano Osmolator do the the job- is there some sort of snail guard, and could it perform in a display with a slight slosh? Thanks.

It has a housing around the float that would keep out larger snails but small snails and hermit could still affect it. I Russian hobbyist had sent me a photo of a DIY mod he made where he attached a small piece of what looked like the plastic grid used in sewing cross stitch, a sort of course rigid plastic grid you could buy at a sewing shop or craft shop like Michaels. The slosh could be an issue if it was major, but in general it should work with a slight wave or slosh.
